Developmental and complex trauma often stems from repeated experiences over time rather than a single event. These experiences can include emotional neglect, inconsistent caregiving, chronic criticism, difficult family dynamics, or relationships where your needs were not consistently seen, supported, or valued. The effects can show up in adulthood as anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, difficulty trusting others, relationship challenges, chronic self-doubt, or feeling disconnected from yourself.
Healing from complex trauma is not about "getting over it"—it is about understanding how your experiences shaped the ways you learned to cope, connect, and survive. In therapy, I provide a compassionate and non-judgmental space to explore these patterns, process unresolved emotions, and develop a deeper sense of safety within yourself. I believe that trauma is not what happened to us but the impact it has had on us and therefore healing is possible.
